Today is the 68th birthday of Independence Award-winning singer Runa Laila.

Dhrubo Music Station will release four songs marking the acclaimed singer's 68th birthday. All the songs have been tuned by Runa Laila, said a press release.
Dhrubo Music Station will release the music video of the song titled ‘Ei dekha shesh dekha' on its official YouTube channel today. The song has been penned by Gazi Mazharul Anwar and Zinia Zafrin Luipa has lent her voice to the song.
The music video was shot on November 12 and November 13. It has been directed by Chandan Chowdhury.
‘When I first heard Begum Akhtar's song Jyotsna Korechhe Ari recorded by Luipa, I was enthralled and congratulated her. Kickass movie download fast and free. After I tuned Ei dekha shesh dekha, I urged her to lend her voice to the song as I have confidence in her. She didn't disappoint me and even surpassed my expectation. Besides, three songs including Kothay rekhechho amay, penned by Kabir Bakul and sung by Akhi Alagmir, Keno hoye gechhi por, penned by Gazi Mazharul Anwar and sung by Tani Laila, and Akashe megh jomechhe, penned by Kabir Baul and sung by Haimanti Rakshit, will be released within this month.
Runa Laila began started learning singing at the age of six in Karachi. She won the interschool music competition when she was only nine years old. She had a brief training in dance at a tender age, so she used to sing and dance at the same time on stage. She used to host her own show at PTV named Bazm-E-Lail.
Runa Laila can sing songs in 18 languages including Bangla, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Gujrati, English, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, French and others. She has rendered playbacks for Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indian films.

She has lent her voice to songs for hit films like Keyamat Theke Keyamat, Beder Meye Jotsna, Dui Jibon, Agneepath, Jaan-e-Bahaar, Sapnon Ka Mandir, Man Ki Jeet and others.
Runa Laila has received around 300 awards from various countries including Saigal Award in India, Nigar Award and Kalakaar Award in Pakistan and several National Film Awards in Bangladesh.
